Cloudflare Domains vs Namecheap: Which Is Cheaper in 2026?
Both are popular, both are respected — but they price domains very differently. Here is a direct comparison across the TLDs people actually buy.

Long-Term Cost: Where It Really Hurts
For a .com held 5 years: Cloudflare costs $45.75. Namecheap costs $65.50 ($9.58 yr1 + $13.98 × 4). That is $19.75 more. For .io the gap is $67 on a single domain over 5 years.
When Namecheap Still Makes Sense
Namecheap has broader TLD selection, does not require Cloudflare nameservers, and includes free WHOIS privacy. If you need a TLD Cloudflare does not support or want to keep your DNS elsewhere, Namecheap is a solid choice.
Verdict
On price alone: Cloudflare wins, especially on renewals. If you are already using Cloudflare for DNS or hosting, there is no reason not to register there. Otherwise, Porkbun and NameSilo are comparable in price without the platform dependency.
